1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible

This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle received a five-year body-off-frame rotisserie restoration and is finished in Burnt Copper with black SS stripes and a black interior. The Burnt Copper paint was polished to a smooth reflective finish, and the SS stripes were applied beneath the clear coat. The body is straight with smooth contours, crisp lines, aligned panels, and consistent gaps. The bumpers were rechromed, the exterior trim is polished, and the grille and lights are in good condition. A functional steel Cowl Induction hood is installed, along with a power-operated black vinyl convertible top. The car rides on chrome US Mags wheels measuring 18 inches in front and 20 inches at the rear, wrapped in staggered performance tires with wider rear fitment. The interior was completely restored with replaced sun visors, dash pad, gauge bezel, steering wheel, carpeting, and kick panels. The stereo was upgraded to a digital Bluetooth-compatible unit. The tilt steering column, floor shifter, and center console appear to be original components. The front and rear seats were reupholstered in matching black vinyl and are equipped with seatbelts. A black vinyl convertible-top boot is included, and the interior lights operate. Power comes from a 454-cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 producing approximately 450 horsepower. The engine is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor, LS6 cylinder heads, a GM aluminum intake manifold with Winters foundry casting, long-tube headers, and a billet front-runner system. The alternator, water pump, and power-steering pump are billet aluminum. Additional equipment includes a replaced brake master cylinder and booster, a large aluminum radiator with dual electric cooling fans, Chevrolet-script aluminum valve covers, and a secured Optima RedTop battery. The horns and windshield-washer nozzles are connected, and the hoses and wiring were replaced or refreshed. The firewall and underside of the hood are painted Burnt Copper, while the inner fenders are finished in black. The original trim tag remains in place. The trunk lid and jamb are painted to match the exterior, and the weatherstripping was replaced. The clean metal trunk compartment is painted glossy Burnt Copper and includes reproduction labels, a spare tire, reproduction tire cover, trunk mat, and convertible-top well liner. During restoration, the frame was stripped and powder-coated black, while the rust-free underbody was painted to match the exterior. The steering and suspension were rebuilt and fitted with lowering springs, front and rear sway bars, and boxed rear control arms. The fuel system was replaced, including the tank and fuel lines. The braking system was rebuilt with front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, new brake lines, and a connected emergency brake. A custom stainless-steel Pypes exhaust system includes an X-pipe and stainless tips. The underside of the engine is finished in Chevrolet Orange and fitted with a new fuel pump and high-torque starter. A built Turbo 400 automatic transmission with an aluminum pan sends power through a rebuilt driveshaft to a 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 4.10 gearing and a chrome differential cover. Completed service work included recalibrating the speedometer, repairing the convertible-top switch, repairing the driver-side window regulator, and adjusting a header.
