Vehicle overview
This genuine 1971 Plymouth Cuda hardtop received a complete rotisserie restoration and retains its original Sassy Grass Green exterior, white interior, billboard graphics, numbers-matching 340 High Performance V8, and numbers-matching 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The professionally restored body has well-aligned panels, smooth lower sections, and polished paint with no significant flaws noted. The restored front end includes upper and lower grilles, a new chrome bumper, a sport hood with racing pins, excellent fender gills, the correct antenna, racing mirrors, and a windshield and surrounding moldings that appear new. The upper door trim, roof-gutter trim, door handles, rocker trim, and wheel-opening moldings also appear new. At the rear, the car has a blacked-out tail panel, rechromed bumper and bumper guards, and correct rectangular exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The door jambs are painted, and the weatherstripping and seals were replaced. It rides on 14-inch Magnum wheels with new trim rings and reproduction Goodyear Polyglas tires. The white interior was completely restored with new bucket-seat cushions, tightly fitted upholstery, factory seatbelts for the front and rear occupants, new carpeting, a restored center console, and a professionally restored dashboard pad. The Rallye instrument cluster includes a tachometer and clock, and the instrument panel has no damage or added holes. Additional interior equipment includes a woodgrain steering wheel, Mopar-embroidered floor mats, a white perforated headliner, shoulder belts, a working dome light, and restored door panels, rear side panels, and interior trim. The numbers-matching 340 V8 and entire engine compartment were restored, rebuilt, or replaced as required. The car retains its factory air-conditioning system, stock exhaust manifolds, stock-style valve covers, and stock air cleaner. The cooling system includes a radiator with Mopar markings, a Chrysler overflow bottle, and the correct fan shroud. The engine bay consists of clean metal painted body color, with a restored windshield-wiper motor and power-steering and power-brake components that present as new. The trunk contains clean metal painted Sassy Grass Green and was detailed with new rubber plugs, finished taillight housings and latches, a new rubber mat, replaced weatherstripping, and a restored jack mounted in the proper location. A new reproduction Goodyear Polyglas spare tire matches the four road tires. The underside was restored with the body rotated to provide access to the floors, frame rails, inner rocker panels, and inner quarter panels, all of which are clean metal painted body color. The front and rear suspension systems were rebuilt and detailed. The underside of the engine is clean, and the numbers-matching 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission was restored. The brackets, transmission linkage, fluid lines, and emergency-brake assembly present as new. The braking system was restored and includes front disc brakes. The car also has a correct-style exhaust system with rear resonators and a replaced fuel system consisting of a new tank, sending unit, and retaining straps.
