1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is a real Z/28 with its original cowl tag, factory code 69-69 Cortez Silver exterior, and factory code 713 deluxe black houndstooth interior. It received a complete nut-and-bolt restoration to original-style condition using the correct numbers and codes. The exterior is finished without a vinyl top and includes the Rally Sport package with hideaway headlights and relocated reverse lights, along with a cowl-induction hood, front and rear spoilers, an Endura front bumper, and the exterior trim group. The body has straight panels, square and flush fitment, precise gaps, evenly applied metallic paint, polished clear coat, and painted stripes in the correct dimensions with a smooth finish. The exterior trim was replaced, the stainless moldings were polished, and the lenses, emblems, windshield-wiper arms, door handles, and antenna were replaced with correct-style components. It rides on 15-inch Rally wheels with reproduction Goodyear tires. The dated tinted glass, weatherstripping, window seals, and sill plates were replaced, and the door jambs are finished to the same standard as the exterior. The interior includes molded deluxe door panels, a center console with factory-style gauges, a rosewood deluxe steering wheel, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, clock, rosewood trim, and a tilt steering column. The original radio operates, the dashboard lighting functions, and the lenses, gauges, vents, knobs, and heater controls were restored. Reproduction GM seatbelts and a new wiring harness from front to rear were installed. Power comes from a correct 302 DZ small-block V8 with casting dates and component codes appropriate for the car. The VIN stamp has been restamped. The engine was professionally rebuilt to 302 specifications and retains original pink connecting rods. Correct-coded components include the intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, cylinder heads, Holley carburetor, distributor, ignition coil, alternator, water pump, thermostat housing, and deep-groove pulleys. The complete cowl-induction system is functional, and the car is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The engine compartment also includes a complete smog system, GM-style hoses and clamps, a Delco battery topper with spring-clamp cables, finned valve covers, a restored original radiator, correctly dated cooling fan, reproduction fan shroud, cadmium-plated brake booster, correctly numbered master cylinder, and a complete windshield-wiper and washer system with an additional pump for the headlight washers. The trunk has clean metal finished in gray spatter paint and includes replaced decals, weatherstripping, rear-seat insulation, a rubber trunk mat, a matching reproduction Goodyear spare tire mounted on a Rally wheel, and the correct jack assembly. The body was removed during restoration, and the underside was completely rebuilt and detailed. The suspension and steering were rebuilt and fitted with correct spiral shock absorbers. The underside of the engine is clean and includes a restored correct starter. A restored Muncie 4-speed manual transmission with new linkage sends power to the original 12-bolt Positraction rear axle with 3.73 gearing. The brake system was replaced and includes front disc brakes and a new parking-brake assembly. The fuel system was replaced, and the car has a correct-style exhaust system with a transverse muffler.
