1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Restomod

This 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Restomod was restored by Mopar specialist Dave Dudek using an original rust-free body and has 50,900 actual miles. It is finished in Black Velvet with matte-black performance stripes and retains its original interior with restored and replaced components. The body is laser straight with precise, consistent panel gaps, and the black paint, door jambs, chrome, and stainless trim have a show-quality finish. R/T equipment includes a power-bulge hood, side stripes, chrome racing mirrors, a flip-open fuel cap, and a complete exterior trim package. The weatherstripping was replaced, reproduction glass with correct Mopar markings was installed, the lenses and taillight assembly were replaced, and the grille was restored. It rides on 17-inch billet Magnum 500-style wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force performance tires. The interior includes a complete Rallye dashboard with factory tachometer, quartz clock, and an original-style AM/FM radio upgraded internally with modern electronics. The center console contains a pistol-grip shifter for the Passon 5-speed manual transmission. The seats were rebuilt and reupholstered with pepper-cloth inserts, while the door panels, handles, window cranks, carpeting, headliner, sun visors, mirror, and dome light were restored or replaced. It also includes a complete set of seatbelts and a three-spoke Rim Blow steering wheel. Power comes from an unstamped 426 Hemi warranty block that was professionally stroked and built to produce 630 horsepower. The engine is finished in Hemi Orange and equipped with dual-quad FiTech electronic fuel injection, correct crinkle-finish valve covers, air conditioning, factory power steering, and power brakes. The engine compartment is painted gloss black and includes a correct Mopar radiator, reproduction hoses, reproduction spark-plug wires, connected windshield-washer nozzles, functional horns, and factory-style detailing. The trunk lid and jamb are painted gloss black, while the trunk compartment is boxed, upholstered, and fully carpeted with a replaced latch and weatherstripping. The steering and suspension systems were restored or replaced and fitted with Bilstein gas shocks at all four corners. The braking system was rebuilt with Wilwood drilled and slotted front disc brakes, replaced lines, and a complete emergency-brake assembly. A custom stainless-steel exhaust system includes an X-pipe, DynoMax mufflers, and correct square tips exiting through the rear valance. The Passon 5-speed manual transmission sends power through an aluminum driveshaft to a restored 8¾-inch rear end with 3.91 Sure Grip gearing. Additional underside equipment includes a high-torque mini starter, restored hardware and brackets, and a sound-deadener coating applied to the underbody.
