This award-winning 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is a professionally built, complete rotisserie custom finished in PPG Cinnamon Metallic with smooth silver metallic stripes and a custom Saddle interior. The build earned two first-place awards at the Detroit Autorama and features extensive performance, chassis, comfort, and cosmetic upgrades throughout. The body was reconstructed using new Goodmark sheet metal and finished with laser-straight panels, precise gaps, a fiberglass tall-cowl hood, new glass, and replaced chrome, trim, lenses, weatherstripping, and seals. The Cinnamon Metallic paint changes character under different lighting and has been polished to a glass-like finish, while the smooth silver stripes add a distinctive custom appearance. Halogen headlights and staggered Twisted Fatal wheels measuring 18x7 inches in front and 20x10 inches at the rear, wrapped in Nitto performance tires, complete the exterior. A digitally controlled Air Ride Technologies suspension system allows the ride height to be adjusted through selectable presets and a remote control. The Saddle interior was completely restored and customized with re-cushioned and professionally upholstered seats, new carpet, door panels, dash pad, and headliner. A custom instrument panel houses Pro-Comp gauges and billet air-conditioning vents, while a wood steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. A Synister serpentine drive system includes billet pulleys and brackets, a polished one-wire alternator, polished air-conditioning compressor, and polished power-steering pump with a remote reservoir. Cooling is managed by an Alumitech radiator, dual SPAL electric fans, an Edelbrock water pump, and a polished overflow tank. The engine compartment features a smoothed firewall, extensive chrome detailing, and body-quality paint. A Hydroboost power-brake system provides additional braking assistance. The boxed and upholstered trunk matches the interior and houses the stereo equipment and an Optima battery secured by a billet bracket. Underneath, the Chevelle rides on Air Ride Technologies suspension with an upgraded Level Pro sensor package, Fatman spindles, Strong Arm tubular control arms, heavy-duty sway bars, adjustable gas shocks, and rear air bags. Four-wheel drilled and slotted disc brakes provide modern stopping power. The exhaust system consists of three-inch polished stainless-steel tubing with a crossover and polished MagnaFlow mufflers. A TCI 4L80E overdrive automatic transmission with a deep aluminum pan is connected to a custom heavy-duty driveshaft and a 12-bolt rear end equipped with Richmond gears, C-clip eliminators, and an aluminum differential cover. Additional undercarriage details include a high-torque starter, extra-capacity anodized oil pan, chrome flywheel cover, upgraded fuel system, a smoothed and silver-painted frame, and a glossy underbody finished in the same Cinnamon Metallic color as the exterior.
