Vehicle overview
This 1964 Chevrolet C10 short-bed pickup received a ground-up restoration and has approximately 4,500 miles since completion. It is finished in Pale Turquoise Metallic with a Pure White roof and a gray custom interior. The exterior has shaved emblems, a louvered hood, smoothed bumpers, a rear bumper notched for the exhaust, a custom roll pan embossed with Chevrolet bowties, a refinished grille, HID headlights, and an embossed “CHEVROLET” tailgate. The panels are aligned properly, the doors close easily, and the paint has a glossy, reflective finish. It rides on 20-inch chrome Boss wheels with 315/35R20 rear tires. The short bed is accessed through two chrome latches inside the tailgate and features body-color jambs and sides, a white composite floor with polished retaining strips, and widened wheel wells for the rear tires. The interior includes a custom-fabricated 1956 Chevrolet dashboard, digital and analog gauges, power windows, an electronic parking brake, a tilt steering column, Vintage Air climate controls, a RetroSound radio, machine-turned trim, and exposed metal painted body color. A reclining split bench seat includes a folding center buddy seat that serves as an armrest and cupholder. The area behind the seat is carpeted and contains two speaker boxes, with additional speakers mounted in the kick panels. The carpeting, rearview mirror, and sun visors were replaced. Power comes from a 350-cubic-inch V8 rated at 350 horsepower and equipped with FiTech electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock RPM high-rise intake manifold, compact headers, and billet spark-plug-wire holders. A Tru Trac compact front-runner system includes billet pulleys, brackets, and components, along with a mini air-conditioning compressor, polished power-steering pump with a remote reservoir, and a polished one-wire alternator. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator, electric fan, and billet overflow tank. Many hoses and wires are concealed behind the inner fenders, while the visible hoses use shrink-to-fit connectors. The engine compartment also features a body-color power-brake system, EM billet hood hinges with strut assistance, a hand-fabricated power-steering bracket, a custom firewall embossed with a Chevrolet bowtie, and body-color paint on the underside of the hood, firewall, and inner fenders. The front suspension uses a Mustang II system with rack-and-pinion steering, tubular control arms, adjustable coilover shocks, and a large sway bar with replaced bushings. The rear suspension is equipped with POL tubular trailing arms, replaced springs, and replaced shocks. The power-brake system was rebuilt and upgraded with drilled and slotted rotors, Wilwood calipers at all four wheels, and replaced brake lines. A custom-bent dual exhaust system uses Xlerator mufflers. The 350 V8 is painted body color underneath and fitted with a high-torque starter, along with replaced lines and hoses. A 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission sends power to a 12-bolt rear end with a chrome differential cover. The battery was relocated beneath the truck. The solid floors have a thin undercoating and satin-black finish, while the frame was prepared and painted. Completed service work included rewiring the horn, repairing the air-conditioning system, replacing a turn-signal socket, tightening the tailgate, aligning the front end, and replacing the door locks.
